In August 2023, I completed this unique project. A client approached me with a request for a farewell gift for his sister, who was about to move to the other side of the world.
We decided on a macro photo concept. The process is straight forward but impactful. It involves taking a macro photo of the iris of both individuals – in this case, my client and his sister. Then, these images are digitally merged, and with careful manipulation of shadows and light, a 3D effect is created.
This project was not just about capturing the beauty of the human eye, but about creating a lasting connection between siblings as one embarked on a new journey. It’s a testament to the power of photography in preserving bonds and memories.
